What is the reason Obama does not follow protocal when the american anthem is played?

i think it has something to do with what hes church is preaching

   Edit: For the person stating that this is an uban myth, try again. Notice that Obama's crotch (the location of his hands) is somewhat distant from where protocol dictates the hand should be placed (the heart).
   
   
   
   I was at Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial Day. At 1700, when the recording was played of "Retreat" and "To the Colors," most of the civilians stared at me when I stopped for the playing of "Retreat" and then placed my hand over my heart during the playing of "To the Colors." I think my behavior shamed a few people who were ignoring the bugle into paying the proper respect. However, most of them continued like nothing was happening.

16. I don't know. It's a small thing, and yet it bothers me that he deliberately won't put his hand over his heart or wear a flag lapel. I probably wouldn't have noticed if no one had said anything - but it really does bug me that the guy does this sort of thing. Is he expressing a viewpoint? What's the deal?

    I do not do community work and do not know how much community work you do but it takes strong dedication, beleieve, patiotism and committment to do what he is doing.
